Palletizing patterns for
construction materials

An experimental extension for long, heavy goods: drywall, lumber, bagged cement. It is not the mixed-SKU engine the rest of this site runs, it is not held to parity with the Python construction module, and it is not part of any paid plan.

Everything below is a browser planner that reports what it could not place. There are no deployments, no measured savings, and no stability validation on real material.

Illustration. The planner below runs in this tab on a 3200 × 1300 mm long-goods deck. It is a simplified, experimental planner — not the Python construction engine — and reports every case it could not place. Read what it does not model before you rely on any of them. Bagged goods, deck flex and transport dynamics are on that list.

Construction mixed-SKU planner

Experimental browser planner. The numbers are geometry, not validated performance, and there is no cycle-time estimate because none has been modelled for this vertical.

Why this vertical

Construction materials are heavy, repetitive, and mostly still handled by hand.

Drywall, lumber and bagged cement are heavy, repetitive to handle, and in many supply and prefab yards still stacked by hand.

Robotic palletizing of finished construction products is a plausible place for an open engine to be useful: the SKUs are large and predictable, and the stability rules differ enough from general warehouse palletizing to be worth modeling directly.

Why it is experimental

The mixed-SKU engine is checked by an independent validator, proven identical in the browser and in Python, and gated by the safety authority. This planner is none of those things yet. It is here because long goods are a plausible fit, and it is labelled so that nobody mistakes it for the product.

Want to try this on a real line?

The engine and this planner are open. The paid pilot covers the mixed-SKU engine, not this vertical; if you run a construction-products line and want to shape it, we'd still like to hear from you.
